Vidya Desire
Vidya Desire is the fusion of two musical worlds: the depth of mantras with the sonic power of electro.
This duo was born from the meeting of two passionate young musicians, Eloïse (Vidya) and Douglas (Desire). Both singers, they bring together in their compositions different musical influences, from sacred chants to electro-ambient and transcendental music.
Their musical style is a blend of genres, marked by haunting melodies, rich vocal harmonies and dynamic rhythms, inviting you on a hypnotic sonic journey.
These two music lovers draw their inspiration from varied worlds. Eloïse, having grown up in an environment with Indian cultural influences, brings the spiritual dimension of India's sacred chants. Meanwhile Douglas, from a family of musicians, was immersed in a rich and plural culture from an early age, which nurtured his passion for electronic music — a field where he excels by his creativity.
Between tradition and modernity, Vidya Desire offers an original musical experience, combining spiritual depth and electronic modernity. Formed in 2024, this duo aspires to spread a message of peace and harmony through their spiritually-infused compositions.

Our music encompasses several of these characteristics — each set is designed as a journey adapted to the context and energy of the venue.
Already accustomed to the stage through our respective careers, we designed our concert as a meditative journey through the 7 chakras. Accompanied by singing bowls, each track in the set is carefully built around a particular chakra, enabling a dancing meditation.
By uniting our voices and instruments, and with the power of various mantras evoking the deities of Indian mythology, we journey from one chakra to the next, as a path towards inner liberation.
Eloïse
Trained at the conservatoire — singing, flute, music theory — she performs with several theatre companies.
Having grown up in an environment with Indian cultural influences, she brings the full spiritual dimension of India's sacred chants. Her stays in India and numerous wellness retreats nourish a deep connection with this culture.
Douglas
From a family of musicians, immersed in a rich and plural culture from an early age, he developed a passion for electronic music — a field where he excels by his creativity.
A passionate multi-instrumentalist — bass, piano, handpan — he dedicates himself to sound creation and composition, blending tradition and electronic modernity.
